HOW WE CAME OUT
MANNISH was born out of frustration, love, and the need for freedom. It started with something simple: our masc-presenting co-founder, small in frame but bold in style, couldn’t find clothes that felt right in either section — women’s too femme, men’s too big. So we asked: why does fashion still force us to choose?
We created MANNISH to break that choice. To offer clothing that doesn’t ask who you are before letting you wear it. The word mannish has long been used to police people who don’t “fit,” especially women and queer folk. We’re reclaiming it not as an insult, but as a badge of defiance. Our name flips that shame into style. Our logo — M / W — blurs man and woman, landing on whatever. Because we’re not here to box you in.
Our mission is simple: redefine style through self-expression, not gender expectations. We design pieces for all identities, and all bodies — starting with what we can make now, and growing with your feedback.
This is more than a brand. It’s a coming out. A refusal to blend in. A place where what you wear reflects how you feel, not how the rack labels you.
MANNISH.
No labels. Just you.
